Today, at the Inotek Center in Cahul, the project “AI Without Borders: Youth and Women from Diverse Communities Connecting Moldova through Innovation” was launched, implemented by the ECOU Association. The event brought together representatives of local authorities and international partners involved in promoting digital innovation.
The conference was opened by several local and international officials and leaders who emphasized the role of digital technologies in strengthening social cohesion and creating opportunities for youth and women. Participants included Ms. Lorna Hicks, Program Coordinator, UK Embassy in Chișinău; Ms. Tatiana Chebac, IWPR-BREN Moldova Coordinator; Mr. Pavel Groza, President of Cahul District; Ms. Maria Seiz, Head of Investment Promotion Service, Comrat Municipality; and Mr. Vitalie Ponomariov, Executive Director of ECOU Association.
Attendees were introduced to the project’s goals and activities, which include organizing 18 training sessions, a hackathon, and upgrading the AIOportunitati.md platform. The event also featured the official handover of tablets to the partners of the “AI Opportunities” program.
The event concluded with discussions and a networking session, providing participants with the opportunity to build new connections and collaborations in the field of digital innovation.
