On November 25, Cahul hosted the launch of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign with the “Moldova Without Violence” March, organized under the auspices of ANPCV and supported by UNFPA Moldova, UN Women Moldova, and local authorities.
The march was attended by Members of Parliament Ms. Marcela Adam and Mr. Ion Groza, alongside the President of Cahul District, Mr. Pavel Groza, and the Deputy Mayor of Cahul Municipality, Ms. Tatiana Romaniuc, demonstrating the authorities’ commitment to preventing and combating all forms of violence. Other local officials also joined the event, encouraging solidarity, engagement, and ongoing actions to support victims and foster a safer society.
The event conveyed a clear message: safety is a fundamental right for every woman and girl, and a violence-free society is built within communities, families, educational environments, and online spaces. A Moldova without violence is both possible and necessary. No excuses for violence. No woman left in silence.
